Exclusive: See Vintage Photos Showcasing the Golden Years of Las Vegas

Las Vegas—known for its bright lights, lush colors and vibrant nightlife—serves as an adult playground for people from all over the world. To showcase the city’s past glitz and charm, a newly released book features life in Sin City from 1950 to 1980.

In Vegas Gold, David Wills shares over 125 photographs of old-school Las Vegas, including quotes and short essays that profile the city during its post-World War II boom.

The volume features views of Fremont Street, the Golden Nugget, the Stardust Hotel and many other recognizable Vegas landmarks.

Moments highlighted in the book include Elvis Presley‘s wedding in 1967, the Muhammad Ali-Ron Lyle fight in 1975 and scenes from various films and shows. Other Vegas icons like Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Liberaceand the Vegas showgirls also make appearances.
