And the Bar Hall of Fame Winners Are…Cheers to the five new members

A neighborhood tavern with a 1970s rec-room vibe. A boisterous good-time gay bar. An old-school Italian joint that serves up live entertainment with its red sauce. An elegant lounge for cocktail connoisseurs. And a hockey-centric sports pub set in a fake castle.

Say this much for the five new inductees into Vegas Seven’s Las Vegas Bar Hall of Fame: It’s a helluva diverse bunch. And for the fourth consecutive year, our readers helped choose the winners. From June 25 through July 9, barflies throughout the Valley flooded VegasSeven.com, casting nearly 16,000 votes—an all-time record—for their favorite drinking establishments in five categories: Classic, Neighborhood, Restaurant, Cocktail/Mixology and Sports.

As we’ve come to expect, there were close races in each category, leaving Vegas Seven’s esteemed committee of dedicated drinkers with a difficult decision when it came time to finalize the Class of 2015. But in the end, for the first time, we agreed wholeheartedly with the will of the people—that’s right, each of this year’s inductees was a top vote-getter in our online poll.

The addition of these five entrants means the Las Vegas Bar Hall of Fame now boasts 25 watering holes, with another five poised to join that exclusive club in 2016. And thanks to a bevy of Hall of Fame-worthy establishments still on the outside looking in, it’s clear the competition for immortality will remain fierce for years to come. We’ll certainly drink to that!
